HNY From Bowen Airbnb

*Deep Sigh*, it's January.

Happy 2026 friends,

As we ease into 2026, we hope you had the most restful of holidays with you and your loved ones. Because we surely did.

Slow mornings. Coffee by the fire. Long walks. Zero urgency. We had the kind of reset that reminds you why Bowen works its quiet magic.

Over the holidays, we realized something worth pausing for: we’ve officially passed our one-year anniversary on Airbnb. Somehow it flew by in the best way.

We’re also incredibly grateful (and a little humbled) to share that our next eight weekends are already booked. So thanks for trusting us with your precious weekends.

Something new we just set up at the Airbnb this month is a wooden lock box for your phones. So if you’re looking for a solitude escape without your smartphone, we’ll have the perfect spot for you to keep it safe and sound.

Another recent highlight: one of our guests filmed the cutest collaboration video of our cabin space. If you’re curious to see the cabin through her lens, you can watch it below.

In the words of @EverythingAhnika: “If you haven’t visited Bowen Island yet, then what are you even doing?!”

Looking ahead, we’re planning a few fun, low-key events for 2026 — think thoughtful gatherings, not loud weekends. We’re also adding a wooden lock box for guests craving a true solitude getaway and time off their phone.

Off-grid energy, without the stress.

If you’re easing into the year with a good book, a few restful reads we’ve loved lately: Braiding Sweetgrass, Wintering, and Four Thousand Weeks.

We’re also excited about Pocket Art, a new initiative by Joy Kinna: small, beautiful pieces that feel perfectly at home on Bowen.

If someone in your life could use a little escape, feel free to forward this newsletter along or have them click below.

Thank you for an incredible 2025.

We can’t wait to make more memories with new and old friends in this next year ahead.

Much love,

The Bowen Airbnb Fam
